I finally found the perfect planter plans The plans for this planter are included in Teds Woodworking plans. It is an incredible find. Ted has included over 16,000 diy woodworking plans (including planter plans) and they are incredibly detailed.
16,000 Woodworking Plans Including Many Planter Plans?
Of course you may think that 16,000 plans is overkill and you may well be right but here’s the thing.. You’ll probably need several plans as time goes on and if you buy them individually they’ll cost you a fortune. If I were you I would jump at the chance to see Ted’s plans. You’ll never need another plan again.
Why I chose Ted’s Woodworking For My Planter Plans
As I had talked about in earlier posts; most people learn in different ways. Some people like the traditional, flat plans while others like full color, 3-d images. It helps some people visualize what the final product might look like. Ted’s also comes with video tutorials which is great for me because while I love woodworking I am definitely not an expert at it (yet anyway) and the videos teach me not only how to use the tools but the proper techniques as well. One last thing – Ted’s planter plans are accessible instantly which is important to me. I am impatient so it is great to be able to get access to them today rather than having to wait 4-6 weeks for shipping or something crazy like that.

Over the last day or so I’ve been looking around at various woodworking plans. I noticed some big differences among them. Of course it is not a big shock that the free ones are the hardest to follow. I guess you get what you pay for. The difference between the plans out there is like night and day. A good plan (in my opinion) should be easy to read and easy to follow. I find that a 3d plan like the one you see below is ideal.
Of course the picture at the left looks nothing like a planter plan – instead it is actually a plan for a set of bunk beds. I wanted to write about it quickly though as it does embody the essence of a well designed plan for a diy woodworking project. I know that you can’t really see the plan very well and it’s hard for me to describe the detail. Of course, this is not the full plan – it also comes with a flat (or 2 dimensional) plan and even a video! What’s great about this plan is that it comes with everything you need, no matter what style of a learner you are. Some people love video for instance and others hate it. Some like a 3d representation of their woodworking project while others like a 2d view. It doesn’t matter what you prefer – it only matters that the plans you go with have all of the options available to make it easier for you. I haven’t found the planter plans that I want yet but I’ll keep looking and let you know soon.

Welcome to my blog about planter plans. What started out as a simple search for plans plans (and wooden window boxes actually) ended up like many such things do on Google – very frustrating. With the spring weather coming on at last I have been in search of planter plans (and other woodworking plans as well) to plant some shrubs on my deck and some flowers on our patio area. I have come across plenty of free planter plans only to find out that they are not really free (and if they are then they are surprisingly poor in quality). Woodworking is a new hobby of mine and I definitely need some guidance in the form of plans before I take on any diy woodworking project; I’m no fool 
. You may have also noticed from my bio on the right that my career is reviewing different resources available online and so this fits that bill as well. I hope to save you some time in your search for planter plans.
